Terms of Use
In plain words: what this system does, what it does not do, what you take on and what we take on.
Version 0.1, 2026-08-24
This is a draft. Every statement about the system has been checked against the running code, but the document has not been through legal review, and a few fields can only be filled in by the service owner.
Still to be decided
- The legal form and registration number of Nektrade, and a postal address for legal notices.
- The limits of liability that the law of the Republic of Armenia allows, and the carve-out for consumer rights in the user’s own country.
- Review by a lawyer: the document is written from facts about the system, but has had no legal review.
1. Who provides the service
The Genesis service (“the service”) is provided by Nektrade, Republic of Armenia. Contact and legal notices: [email protected]. The legal form, registration number and postal address are listed among the open decisions above.
By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.
2. What Genesis is
Genesis is a workspace for market research and for operating trading engines. It collects public market data, runs simulations over history, shows diagnostics, and can place orders on an exchange on your behalf if you explicitly allow it.
Today the service trades on paper and on exchange testnets. This build places no live order and holds no access to real-money accounts.
3. What Genesis is not
- Not an investment adviser. Nothing in the interface, the reports, the simulations or the hints is personal investment advice.
- Not a broker and not an exchange. The service does not execute trades itself — the exchange whose account you connect does.
- Not asset management. We do not take your money, do not hold it and do not dispose of it.
- Not a guarantee of outcome. The service promises no profit, no return and no preservation of capital.
4. Who may use it
- You are 18 or older and have legal capacity.
- You act for yourself, or you are authorised to act for the organization you create.
- Your use breaks no law of your country and no rule of the exchanges you connect.
- You are not in a jurisdiction, and not a person, barred from using such services under applicable sanctions regimes.
5. Account and access
An account needs a name, an email address and a password of at least ten characters. The address must be confirmed through a link in an email: the link and the code last 24 hours and work once.
The password is stored only as a hash — it cannot be recovered, only replaced. Access to your account and to the mailbox it is registered to is your responsibility. Changing the password ends every session.
6. Your exchange keys
To let the service work with your exchange account you connect an API key. The public part of the key is stored in our database together with a fingerprint; the secret part is held in a separate secrets store and is never returned to the browser.
Give the key the least permission it needs, and do NOT enable withdrawal rights. You can revoke it at the exchange or in the service; once revoked, the service stops using it.
7. What you decide and what the system does
Until you explicitly grant autonomy, the system places no orders of its own. A grant is bounded by amount and by order count, expires, and can be revoked by you at any moment.
Within a granted mandate the system may act without you present, including opening and closing positions. A separate risk-control layer can stop trading, but it is not a guarantee: it bounds some scenarios, not all of them.
8. Availability and changes
The service is provided “as is”. We do not promise uninterrupted operation: there will be planned stops, updates, failures, and periods when an exchange or a data provider is unreachable.
We may change which features exist and suspend parts of the service, including to fix defects. When a restriction is stopping trading, the interface says so in plain words.
9. Data
The service stores: your name and email address, a hash of your password, your interface language, your organization and its members, a log of account actions, and the history of your trading activity inside the service.
The servers are in the European Union (Austria, netcup GmbH). Email is delivered by Resend. Trading orders go to the exchange whose account you connected. No other recipient receives the data.
Audit and activity records are immutable: they are not edited or deleted after the fact — that is what makes it possible to explain why the system did what it did. This limits deletion of data; the details are in the Privacy Policy.
The full notice about processing of personal data — categories, legal bases, recipients, retention and your rights — is in the Privacy Policy.
10. Payment
As of this version the service charges nothing: only internal and demonstration plans exist. If paid plans appear, their terms will be published separately and before any charge is made.
11. Rights in the content
The software, the interface, the documentation and the materials of the service belong to their rights holder. The data you enter and the results of your trading belong to you.
You may not copy the service, circumvent its technical limits, or use it to harm others.
12. Liability
Trading decisions are yours. Losses arising from use of the service are yours, except where the law provides otherwise. The limits of liability are determined by the law of the Republic of Armenia; if you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence apply regardless.
We are not responsible for the acts of exchanges, data providers and network operators, for your own settings, or for decisions you make on the basis of what the service shows you.
13. Ending
You may stop using the service at any time and ask for your account to be deleted, subject to the limit in section 9 about immutable records.
We may suspend access on breach of these terms, on a security threat, or where the law requires it. We notify you at your registered address unless the law forbids it.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The document carries a version number and a date; material changes are shown in the interface and asked to be accepted again. Continuing to use the service after notice means accepting the new version.
15. Law and disputes
The governing law is the law of the Republic of Armenia. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Armenia, unless mandatory rules of your country of residence provide otherwise.
Before going to court, write to [email protected]: most questions are settled faster and more cheaply in correspondence.
